DAY 1
ARRIVAL
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet an African Big Cats Safaris representative, and transfer to the hotel. Evening briefing with our managers.

LONDOROSSI GATE TO MTI MKUBWA CAMP
Drive to Londorossi Gate (2,250 m) and begin trekking through the rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m). Raincoats recommended as you walk through lush rainforest.

MTI MKUBWA CAMP TO SHIRA 1 CAMP
Trek through moorland to Shira 1 Camp (3,610 m). First views of the Shira Plateau and Kibo Volcano.

SHIRA 1 CAMP TO SHIRA 2 CAMP
Cross the Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m). Optional acclimatization hike to Cathedral Point.

SHIRA 2 TO BARRANCO CAMP (VIA LAVA TOWER)
Important acclimatization day. Climb to Lava Tower (4,630 m) then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 m). "Climb high, sleep low" principle.

BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP
Conquer the famous Barranco Wall! A thrilling scramble with amazing views. Continue to Karanga Camp (4,035 m).

Short trek to Barafu Camp (4,673 m) - your summit base camp. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for midnight departure.

Midnight start for the final push! Reach Stella Point at sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) - the Roof of Africa! Descend to Millennium Camp.

DESCENT TO MWEKA GATE & DEPARTURE
